Established in 1978, Dubai College is one of the oldest UK curriculum schools in the city and one of the few Secondary only schools. It is also one of a limited number of not for profit schools - although this does not mean that the fees are lower than the for-profit schools. DC's reputation is built on its renown as the most academic of schools.
Dubai English Speaking School (DESS) is an award winning, not-for-profit provider of primary education (3-11 years). Rated as an Outstanding school by the Dubai schools' regulator (the KHDA), DESS is the oldest English National Curriculum school in Dubai and, together with its sister school, Dubai English Speaking College (DESC) based in Academic City, has been educating children for over half a century.
An CICSE school, Ambassador School Dubai is clearly on the way up, having now secured two Very Good ratings from the KHDA, and a headteacher, governors and parents increasingly aligned on the way ahead.
GEMS World Academy, Dubai is a private Pre K-12 international school located in Al Barsha, Dubai. The school was first established in September 2007 by GEMS Education, although its first year of operation on its permanent site was in 2008. It is a pure International Baccalaureate curriculum-based school.
Brighton College made its Dubai debut in September 2018, sharing a 'super campus' with newly launched IB curriculum Bloom World Academy. The school offers a UK curriculum based syllabus. The two premium schools share a host of equally premium facilities.
GEMS Wellington Academy, Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO) received its seventh KHDA report in 2019, and was rated Very Good for the fourth year in a row. Whilst the initial step up to Very Good came early in the school's career - on its fourth inspection - moving up to the highest KHDA rating of Outstanding is proving a little more difficult. None-the-less, many aspects of Wellington Academy DSO are highly rated by both the regulator and parents alike.
Springdales School Dubai is a sister school (though independently managed) to its home campus in Delhi. Springdales School India is ranked among the top 10 outstanding schools in its home country. It was established in 1955 by the veteran British Educationalist, Mrs. Rajni Kumar. After achieving a Good rating in its first DSIB inspection in 2015-16, there was some inevitable dismay at a downgrade to Acceptable the following year. In the past four years, the school again achieved a Good rating.
Dubai British School Jumeirah Park is located at the heart of this newer community, close to Jumeirah Lake Towers and the Jumeirah Park/Jumeirah Islands areas. Currently, there are approximately 1,270 children at DBS JP with a total capacity of the school of over 1,600.

GEMS International School Al Khail is an all-through IB World School located off of Al Khail Road that teaches the full range of IB programmes (PYP, MYP, CP, DP courses and DP ) with students graduating with the highly regarded IB Diploma or BTEC qualification.

American International School Dubai is a private, independent institution that serves students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 (ages 3 to 18). The school caters to a mainly native-Arabic speaking population taught by predominantly Jordanian teachers, though the language of instruction is stated as English.

GEMS Metropole Motor City has, without question, been one of the most successful school launches in terms of student numbers. With just over 3,440 students in the 2022-23 academic year - a number expected to grow to 3,970 for 2023-24 - it is clearly pleasing parents and students (and, increasingly, the Dubai Schools Regulator). Support of students of determination is a particular strength of the school.
Emirates International School Meadows is a private, international, all through school established in September 2005 by the Al Habtoor Group and located in The Meadows, Dubai. The school caters to over 1,700 students from a very wide range of nationalities.
