Asian International School in Madinat Zayed is a CBSE curriculum school established in 1987. It is one of three schools owned by the same group.
The ENS campus in Mohammed Bin Zayed City (ENS MBZ) was established in 2002 and is the oldest branch of the Emirates National Schools which are also located on Abu Dhabi Island, Al Ain, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah. In September 2021, ENS will open a branch of the school in Dubai.
Emirates National Schools (ENS) Al Ain is a private K-12 school established in September 2006 and located in Towaya, Al Ain.
The Australian School of Abu Dhabi is located in one of the newer areas of Abu Dhabi - Khalifa City B - close to Abu Dhabi airport. This is a largely Emirati community, and the majority of students naturally come from the local population. The school follows the IB curriculum, and is one of the cheapest IB schools in the UAE. Unfortunately, for it to be considered good value, it would also need to step up its delivery.
Canadian International School (CIS), located in Khalfa A, Abu Dhabi, offers an Alberta based curriculum to its 59 different nationalities of students, of which Canadian (23%), Emirati (13.5%), and American (13.5%) are the largest contingent.
The International School of Choueifat in Abu Dhabi opened its doors in November 1978 in a temporary site before moving to its current site in Khalifa Bin Muhammad Street, Al-Mushref, in November 1979. ISC-Abu Dhabi is built on a large area of 35,000 m2 and caters for over 3,600 students from the age of 4 to 18.
Established as the Glenelg School, Abu Dhabi by the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), Glenelg is now being rebranded as ADNOC Schools, in this case, the Abu Dhabi Campus. The secondary school currently has over 1,100 students, the vast majority of whom come from Arab backgrounds (96 percent).
Horizon Private School branch is a US curriculum school catering mainly to Emirati and native-Arabic speakers, located in one of the newer housing areas off-island.

Philippine Emirates Private School opened on its current site in Baniyas East in September 2013. The school currently has the distinction of being the only school to be downgraded from Acceptable to Weak in its most recent (2018-19) ADEK inspection - though the rating does not tell the full story.
Following our last visit to Cranleigh, our team described the school by saying that “Arguably this is the most successful school at achieving the feel of a British public school of any in the UAE, in the best sense of the word”. Since this visit, more well-known UK public schools have opened branches in the UAE (albeit most in Dubai) and it was time to revisit Cranleigh to see if this significant accolade still holds.
Located in the Khalifa A/Al Shamkha area of Abu Dhabi (inland from the International Airport), Al Yasat Private School occupies a very large site in a residential area which is mainly occupied by local families. Al Yasat offers the US curriculum from KG 1to Grade 12.
