Jumeira Baccalaureate School is a private pre-KG to Grade 12 school which was established in September 2010. The school is located in the heart of Jumeira 1, one of the best locations in the city, on the former site of the American School of Dubai. The school is operated by the Taaleem group.
Apple International School, established in 1994, is a mixed gender school located on two campuses in Dubai in Al Qusais (for Primary School) and a brand new purpose-built Secondary campus near the Sheikh Rashid colony, approximately 1km distant from the original school. It offers private education (FS 1 to year 11, expanding to Year 13) with a UK based curriculum.

Nad Al Hamar located City School International, provides education for students from FS 1 to Year 12 (3 to 17 years of age). This is a relatively small school, although, during the past three years, numbers have increased from 425 to 675. This increase is, in part, due to the addition of a pre-primary school section and to the extension of learning from Year 11 to Year 12.
Anyone who has been in the UAE for some time will know of someone who has been educated at St. Mary's. Practically an institution, St Mary's, based in Oud Metha in Dubai, is home to just over 1,900 students, girls and boys, aged from 5 to 19. Unusually, the school does not offer a KG/Foundation stage, with children joining the school from a range of nurseries within the local area directly into Year 1 (the year in which they turn 6 years of age which is the legal requirement in the UAE).

Located in close to Nad Al Sheba at the still under development Sheikh Mohammed bin Maktoum City, Hartland International School was developed by Sobha Developments to provide a premium UK curriculum school for residents but now attracts families from around the city.
MSB School (formerly Al Ameen School) is a private, mixed FS -Year 13 school located in the Al Nahda area of Dubai. The school was established in 1985, in a villa, with 20 students in the Foundation stage.
The Westminster School was in the news in 2013, due to its announced closure by owners GEMS Education, and the subsequent decision to save it. Since that time, the school seems only to have gone from strength to strength - not only in terms of student numbers, but also in terms of academic performance. It obtained its Good rating from the regulator in the following year and has retained it since that time.
Dubai Arab American School is located in Al Muhaisnah, The school follows the US curriculum and has a predominantly Emirati student base.
